Greetings, MIUI_Au Users!
While the immediately noticeable changes from MIUI (outlined below) seem few, there are plenty more changes under the hood (such as a much smoother dragging experience when choosing a wallpaper)
Swish Features from MIUI HQ:
MICloud – Kind of Like DropBox, but Integrated into MIUI!
- When registered with Xiaomi (MIUI’s company/creator), users are given 5GB of cloud storage
- Easily accessible from within File Manager
- Message and Contact syncing to the cloud, when enabled, is automatic
- Files can be accessed and uploaded from a web browser (http://pan.xiaomi.com)
- There is a PC Client available (http://pan.xiaomi.com)
- The PC Client can be installed on as many PCs as you like
I had the idea of uploading this weeks ROM to my cloud space and providing the link. Will avoid this.
System-Related
- A new Task Switcher (looks radical – I love it!)
- 4×5 HomeScreen switching is officially supported (fancy that).

System Changes
- Adjusted file size limits in Downloads to be more useful (1MB ,2MB ,5MB ,10MB ,20MB ,50MB, and 100MB)
- Adjusted the range of update speeds for the bandwidth indicator in Traffic (1/4S, 1/2S, 1S, 2S, 3S, 5S, and 10S)
- Created Homescreen Icon for Audio Equaliser (read below)
- AROMA Installer (Thanks Amarulz) [Thanks Baadnwz - IC used as template]
Audio Mods
- Recompiled HTC’s Beats Audio control panel with better English (and to remove the ‘Beats’ branding)
- Disabled the Limiter (audio will no longer distort on low volumes)
- Rewrote the Presets. Let me know how they sound.

One issue I’ve had with this version is that the auto-brightness seems to have gone whacko. It goes backwards and forwards between what I’d expect to be the correct brightness and quite dark for what appears like no reason. Not sure what the cause of this could be.

I got my new htc one x and i installed the new miui rom. Its still loopin just like my old one. I got a logcat, its all ready to go.

This weeks ROM is looking good. The issue where you cannot change notification sounds and theming not functioning is still present.
Can someone confirm the same issue please?
Over the past couple of days my phone’s location has been picked up as in China by the weather widget and things like Facebook Messenger. Really weird. Both with this version of MIUI-Au, and the one before. Any thoughts?
Its because xiaomi replaced the google network location with a baidu service. I (in the m1 Rom) just changed it back to the google one. Perhaps josh needs to do this also.

Edit: So do I just remove it, or is there some apktool-tomfoolery required?
I’ll test it myself, but as you already know I thought I’d ask you first.
Also, will replacing it cause anything to go wrong with the MiCloud?
Its simple, just replace NetworkLocation.apk with the google one, and network location functions as it should.

Yep its that simple. And it must use same api otherwise no third party apps would be able to get network location at all, so i cant imagine it will cause issues elsewhere.
Its kool I figured it out. Am gonna have to send u the log on Monday as thats when I get my replacement fone. My speaker died on my one x so gettin a new one.
